- The Inner Child is simply a metaphor for a part of our unconscious mind.
- The Inner Child represents the sum of our childhood experiences – good, bad, and everything in between
- The Inner Child is based on the assumption that since we were children with a few unmet emotional needs at one time, those childhood unmet needs don’t just disappear because we grow older.
- The Inner Child, by virtue of our unconscious mind, determines 80-90% of what we DO on a daily basis.
- The Inner Child plays a HUGE role in how we do relationships AND how we show up in life and work.
- Inner child Work is a form of self discovery that helps us access the child we once were. It then guides us to listen to, communicate with, and nurture the child version of you so you can find and heal the roots of your issues as an adult.

Hi there, I’m Peace!
Also known as Dr. Peace Amadi, I’m a clinical psychologist by training and an author, professor, and coach day-to-day.
But in everything I do my mission is clear: to help people heal and lead and to do this at the intersection of mental health and faith. This is my purpose and my calling.
I create faith-based, mental health journals because as a girl who grew up in church, I have realized a deep need and passion for helping us believers dive deep into our inner world and pursue healing.
See, God desires our mental and emotional healing too and it’s about time we start acting like it!
